"Worm Stairs"

Vemork power station is a historic and impressive power plant located at Rjukan in Telemark, Norway. Built in the early 20th century, this power station is best known for its association with the production of heavy water during World War II, which was a critical factor in the development of nuclear weapons. Allied troops carried out a notorious sabotage mission known as Operation Gunnerside to destroy the heavy water facility and thwart the Nazi nuclear weapons program.

The visit to Vemork touched me deeply, not least for the young Norwegian men who risked their lives in the sabotage against the Nazis. In this work I have used elements of AI, as well as manifested an abstract representation of some kind of change, flexibility or adaptation.
